Distribution

Worldwide.

Biology

Koinobiont hyperparasitoids of Ichneumonoidea or Tachinidae.

Diversity

880 species in 13 genera worldwide (Yu et al., 2011).

Diagnosis

Clypeus usually not separated from face. Fore wing with areolet large and diamond-shaped. Metasomal tergite I slender, with glymma large and deep and with spiracles near or at middle. Ovipositor needle-like without dorsal notch, male gonoforceps extended into a highly characteristic long and narrow rod.
