Distribution

Palaearctic Region: Mediterranean (Algeria, Spain).

Biology

Koinobiont parasitoid of Barbotinia oraniensis, a cynipid inducing spherical galls inside the seed capsules of annual species of poppies (Papaver rhoeas and P. dubium) emerging in February to May, simultaneously with Barbotinia oraniensis (Barbotin, 1964; Ronquist & Nieves-Aldrey, unpubl. data).
