Nearctic, Neotropical: Mexico and Florida south through the Caribbean to Brazil and Argentina.

Biology

Reared from a variety of fruits in association with species of Anastrepha and Rhagoletis. Dicerataspis species have been recorded from Rhagoletis turpiniae in Mexico (Hernandez-Ortiz 1993). Dicerataspis flavipes (Kieffer) has been recorded from Anastrepha amita Zucchi (Guimaraes 1998, 1999) (Wharton & Yoder, 2020).
