Distribution

Afrotropical region: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda, Yemen, Zimbabwe. Palaearctic region: Canary Islands.

Biology

First record of a host has been photographically captured by Alan Manson in November 2019 of an Anacharoides species attacking and ovipositing into a syrphid larva in Hilton (Kwazulu-Natal). See iNaturalist observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/35650016
