Junior synonym of Ammophila rubripes Spinola, 1839 (synonymy by Dollfuss, 2015).

Distribution	Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan.
Biology	Nest provisioned with caterpillars.
