According to
Pasteels (1953) “ex larvae on foliage on cultivated Geranium
(Geraniaceae) and causing extensive damage”. This is probably
Pelargonium graveolens L’Héritier de Brutelle, which is cultivated
in the Cape Region, and used for the distillation of the so-called rose
oil. Some females were observed on Euphorbia plants (Euphorbiaceae)
in Langebaan (Western Cape Province) (Koch et al. 2015). |
