The False Mud
Dauber, Chalybion spinolae (Sphecidae) hunts Button spiders
to provision her nest, a short burrow that she makes in vertical
banks. She lays an egg on the paralysed spiders. On hatching the
larva feeds on the freshly preserved spiders.
