Tanaostigma lasallei van Noort, 2020. Holotype in Iziko South African Museum, Cape Town  (SAMC). Type locality: Mabibi campsite, 50 m, 27°19.818′S 32°44.792′E, Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa.

Named in memory of John LaSalle (CSIRO), who passed away well before his time. We bestowed this honour as recognition of John’s immense contribution towards the field of chalcidoid systematics and entomology in general.
