Biology
|
Hemadas nubilipennis is a primary gall former on Vaccinium angustifolium (Ericaceae) (McAlister and Anderson, 1932; Shorthouse et al., 1986; 1990; macKay, 1989; West and Shorthouse, 1989). Hemadas is commonly known as the Blueberry stem gall wasp. Attacked by at least three parasitoid wasps: Ormyrus vacciniicola, Eurytoma solenozophaeriae and Sycophila vacciniicola (latter both Eurytomidae) (Isaacs et al., 2020).
