Distribution

Afrotropical (introduced), Australasian, Nearctic (introduced), Neotropical, Oriental, Palaearctic.

Biology Primary parasitoids of mostly whiteflies (Aleyrodidae), and less frequently Ortheziidae, Diaspididae, and lepidopteran eggs. Cales noacki is an important biological control agent of woolly whitefly (Aleurothrixus floccosus) in citrus growing regions of Africa, the Mediterranean, and North America.
