Phorotrophus mameti Benoit, 1952. Holotype: in Musée Royal de l'Afrique Centrale, Tervuren (MRAC). Type locality: Bikoro, Lac Tumba, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Phorotrophus basilewskyi Benoit, 1952 (synonymy by Maquart et al. 2014).

Phorotrophus limpidus Benoit, 1955 (synonymy by Maquart et al. 2014).

Phorotrophus nigromaculatus Benoit, 1952 (synonymy by Maquart et al. 2014).

Distribution

 

 

Phorotrophus mameti_map

Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda.

Biology

Reared from Balanogastris kolae (Desbrochers) (Zygopinae), Paremydica kolae (Hustache) (Curculioninae) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) on Cola cordifolia (Sterculiaceae).
