Phorotrophus limpidus Benoit 1955. Holotype in Musée Royal de l'Afrique Centrale, Tervuren (RMCA). Type locality: Bambesa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Junior synonym of Phorotrophus mameti Benoit, 1952 (synonymy by Maquart et al. 2014).
