Cynipencyrtus Ishii

(Life: Kingdom: Metazoa (animals); Phylum: Arthropoda; Class: Hexapoda; Order: Hymenoptera; Superfamily: Chalcidoidea; Family: Cynipencyrtidae)

Cynipencyrtus flavus Ishii, 1928 (China, Japan)
  Cynipencyrtus indicus Singh, 2008 (India)
Distribution Oriental and Palaearctic: China, India, Japan.
Biology Cynipencyrtus flavus is a parasitoid of the Oriental Chestnut Gall Wasp, Dryocosmus kuriphilus (Cynipidae), a global pest of chestnut (Castanea), and also attacks Andricus species (Cynipidae) forming galls on Quercus serrata (Fagaceae) (Tachikawa, 1973, 1978; Ito and Hijii, 2000; Yasumatsu, K. & Kamijo, K. 1979). Cynipencyrtus indicus was collected from Quercus leucotrichophora forest (Singh, 2008).
