Distribution

Afrotropical and Indo-Australasian regions.

Biology

Females hunt a variety of spiders including Rain spiders (Palystes), which they paralyze and drag to a pre-excavated burrow or crack or crevice, where they lay an egg on the spider. On hatching the larva feeds on the preserved prey item.
