Ceropales picta Shuckard, 1837. Type in The Natural History Museum, London (BMNH). Type locality: Cape of Good Hope (South Africa).

Ceropales latifasciatus montivagus Arnold, 1955. Type in Iziko South African Museum (SAMC). Type locality: Mamathes (Lesotho). Synonymy by Móczár, 1986.

Distribution

Lesotho, South Africa.

Biology

 Kleptoparasites of other Pompilidae and to a lesser extent Sphecidae, stealing their spider prey.
