Gymnacanthus aciculatus Benoit, 1952. Holotyp in Musée Royal l'Afrique Centrale, Tervuren (MRAC). Type locality: Eala, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Gonioprymnus similis Benoit, 1952. Holotype: in Musée Royal l'Afrique Centrale, Tervuren (RMCA). Type locality: Mayumbe, Yanga, Democratic Republic of Congo. Synonymy by Varga, 2019.
