Stenomacrus pronotalis Varga, 2024. Holotype in Nairobi (ICIPE). Type locality: Western Prov., Kakamega Forest; 0.23742° N, 34.86607° E; 1620 m a.s.l.; 19 Apr.–2 May 2017; R. Copeland leg.; nr KFS HDQTRs, Malaise trap in indigenous forest.
