Distribution

Afrotropical and Oriental (Watshamia malaica) regions.

Biology Parasitoids of Cecidomyiidae (Diptera). Watshamia malaica recorded from Asphondylia sp. (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) on the Malay Camphor (Dryobalanops aromatica Gaertn., Dipterocarpaceae), a critically endangered species of tree; Watshamia gero is associated with unidentified cecidomyiid galls; W. versicolor was reared from unidentified galls on Rhoicissus tridentata (Vitaceae) (Mitroiu, 2013).
