Xanthosphecium sahelense Simon Thomas, 1994. Holotype ♀ in Laboratory of Entomology, University of Wageningen. Type locality: 25-35 km S Richard Toll, Senegal.

Xanthosphecium harteni Simon Thomas, 1994. Holotype ♀ in Zool. Mus. Amsterdam. Type locality: Al Kowd, Yemen. Synonymy by Pulawski, 2016.

Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, United Arab Emirates, Yemen.

Biology

Solitary predatory wasps, provisioning nest with paralyzed prey (Thysanoptera) for consumption by the larvae.
