Biology

Recorded visiting flowers of the families: Asteraceae, Amaranthaceae, Aizoaceae, Neuradaceae; nesting in friable soil of a stabilized dune mole rat "hillock"; prey: Cicadellidae (Homoptera) (Gess & Gess, 2003; Gess et al. 2015).
