Distribution

 

Afrotropical region: Central African Republic, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda.

Epirhyssa species occur in the Oriental, Neotropical and Afrotropical regions (50, 45 and 12 species, respectively), and also in the Eastern Palaearctic, Australasian and Nearctic regions (8, 4 and 1 species, respectively).

Australasian region: Papua New Guinea.

Nearctic region: Mexico, USA.

Neotropical region: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad.

Oriental region: China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar,  Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam.

Palaearctic region: Russia.

Biology

Host: Hyblaea puera (Hyblaeidae).
