Eurygenus ricinorum Townes 1971. Holotype: in Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris (MNHN). Type locality: Madagascar, Bekily [Ampandrandava], Reg. Sud de l’Ile.

Distribution

Madagascar.

Biology

Host: Parasa reginula Saalmüller (Lepidoptera: Limacodidae) on Sclerocary caffra [marula, sakoa], P. ebenaui (Saalmüller) on Ricinus communis [castor bean, and Latoia albifrons Guérin-Méneville (Lepidoptera: Limacodidae) on unknown host plant.

Diagnosis

Orange species with a black and pale yellow head, characterized by the absence of propodeal carination. Propodeum covered with coarse punctures and concentric wrinkles at apex (Rousse et al., 2011).
