Tessmannella spinosa Hedicke 1912. Holotype: in ZMHU. Type Locality: Uelleburg (Equatorial Guinea).

Diagnosis

Closely resembles T. expansa and T. nigra by having the entire forewing uniformly infuscate (medially hyaline in T. copelandi, T. kiplingi and T.roberti); distinguished from T. expansa and T. nigra by the possession of a circum clypeal carina (lacking in these latter species).
