Tessmannella nigra Hedicke

Tessmannella nigra Hedicke 1912. Holotype: in ZMHU. Type Locality: Uelleburg (Equatorial Guinea).

Distribution

Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea. MAP

Diagnosis

Closely resembles T. spinosa and T. expansa in having uniform infuscation of the forewings (basally hyaline in T. copelandi, T. kiplingi, and T. roberti); distinguished from T. spinosa and T. expansa by having the ventral malar space, immediately adjacent to the mandibular base, gently shagreened (distinctly striate in the latter two species).
