Oberthuerella compressa Benoit

Oberthuerella compressa Benoit 1955. Holotype: in Africa Museum, Tervuren. Type Locality: Bena Bendi, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Junior synonym of Oberthuerella crassicornis.

Diagnosis

This species is a junior synonym of Oberthuerella crassicornis, which is most easily confused with O. longispinosa and O. abscinda, but can be separated from the former by the incomplete median keel on the face (complete and of consistent width from the toruli to the dorsal margin of the clypeus), and from the latter by the legs being all yellow/orange (dark brown/black in O. abscinda).
