Tanynotus crassifemorata Cameron, 1904. Holotype: in The Natural History Museum, London (lost). Neotype: in Museo Civico de Storia Naturale "Giacomo Doria", Genoa. Holotype locality: Dunbrody, (Eastern Cape Province) South Africa.

Distribution

Afrotropical region: Central African Republic, Kenya, Namibia, Niger, South Africa, Zimbabwe.

Also Indo-Australian region: Australia, India and Palaearctic region.

Biology

Parasitoid of Embiidina (= Embioptera): Aposthonia spinulosa, Embia sabulosa, Embia lucasi Ross, Apterembia sp.
