Mystrocnemis africana Kieffer, 1904. Holoype: in Museo Civico de Storia Naturale "Giacomo Doria", Genoa. Type locality: Bolama, Guinea-Bissau.

Distribution

Sclerogibba africana_map

Afrotropical: Cape Verde Islands, Guinea-Bissau, Ghana, Madagascar, South Africa, Yemen. Nearctic: U.S.A. Oriental: India, Sri Lanka.

Biology

Parasitoid of Embiidina (= Embioptera): Oligotoma saundersii (Westwood), Oligotoma nigra, Apterembia sp., Nodosembia sp. Presumptive hosts are Olitogoma humbertiana (Saussure), Olitogoma saundersii (Westwood) and Aposthonia ceylonica (Enderlein) (Krombein, 1979).
