Aphelous incisus Olmi, 1984. Holotype: in The Natural History Museum, London (NHMUK). Type locality: Umuahia CRIN (Nigeria).

Aphelous himyarita Olmi & van Harten, 2006. Holotype: in Massimo Olmi collection, c/o Department of Plant Protection, University of Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy (MOLC). Type locality: al-Lahima, 15°24'N 43°32'E, 1200 m (Yemen). Synonymy by Olmi et al. 2019.
