Tanaostigmodes tambotis Prinsloo & LaSalle, 1995. Holotype: South African National Collection of Insects, Pretoria (SANC). Type Locality: North West Province, Oskraal, 23 km NW Ga-Rankuwa, 25.30S 27.54E, South Africa.

Distribution

 Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania.

Biology

Gregarious phytophagous gall formers on stems of Spirostachys africana (Tamboti) (Euphorbiaceae).
