Norbanus garouae (Risbec)

Bruchobius garouae Risbec, 1956. Syntype in Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris (MNHN). Type locality: ? (Cameroon). Transfer by Mitroiu (2015).

Distribution

Cameroon (Risbec, 1956); Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Zimbabwe (Mitroiu, 2015).

Biology

Reared from larva of Adelpherupa sp. (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) on rice (Risbec, 1956) and from Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. (Poaceae), which is known to be attacked by several species of Crambidae (Mitroiu, 2015).
