Botswana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, South Africa.

Also in Nearctic and Neotropical regions.

Biology

Oooderella americana Gibson, 2017 was reared from eggs of an unidentified species of Orchelimum Serville (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae) (greater meadow katydids) on Daucus carota L. (Apiaceae) (wild carrot) (Gibson, 2017).
